Swedish: Swedish massage uses a system of long, fluid strokes, kneading and friction techniques on the more surface layers of the muscles. It is often combined with active and passive stretching. Overall it improves circulation, removes toxins and eases tension.
Deep Tissue: This modality releases tension in the body through deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the grain of muscles, tendons and fascia.
Sports Massage: Relive muscle tension, soreness and improve performance. Sports Relief combines muscle energy and flexibility techniques including active isolated and static stretching among others. Sports Relief improves blood circulation and is a natural antioxidant as it helps to remove waste products and refurbishes tissues with essential nutrients that aid healing.
Shiatsu: (指圧 Japanese from shi, meaning finger, and atsu, meaning pressure) is a traditional hands-on therapy originating in Japan. Shiatsu technique refers to the use of fingers and palm of one's hand to apply pressure to particular sections on the surface of the body for the purpose of correcting the imbalances of the body, and for maintaining and promoting health. It is also a method contributing to the healing of specific illnesses. ” — Japanese medical department of the Ministry of Welfare |

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese holistic, light touch, energy based modality that re-establishes a normal energy flow of Ki (life force energy) throughout the system, which can enhance and accelerate the body's innate healing ability. Through a series of hand positions either directly or just above the body, the energy worker allows for the flow of energy through their body. The client's body them draws off the amount of energy that is required. Reiki is very relaxing and restores balance and harmony.
During a session, the client remains fully clothed on a massage table and the practitioner's hands lightly touch the client through several hand positions. There is no manipulation of the skin or tissue. Sessions generally last about an hour and most clients enter a clam relaxed state.
Clients have reported feeling: more creative, balanced, less emotional, more relaxed, more vitality, more awareness, less or no pain, and a greater ability to fall asleep quickly. These reported benefits generally last 3 - 10 days.
3 or 4 sessions over 10 - 14 days are recommended to remove entrenched blocks in your energy system; then once a week or once every two weeks or once a month until the issue has resolved. you will begin to notice some improvement after the first session.
Disease generally begins in the energy field so if we keep our bodies healthy using Reiki, and our physical bodies healthy with good nutrition and exercise, we should be able to remain active and whole. |
